Things to do in Bali

Find all the things to do in Bali here!

Bali is the 1st place where I saw a volcano and activities like water surfing. The best part was I felt like a billionaire because I was spending in lakhs, even for a can of cola..haha..ya
so for those who are not aware of Bali`s currency, it is 1 INR = 211 Rupiah. So, a coke can and a pizza can easily cost you 1.5lakhs Rupiah.. enjoy that!

Find many more things to know before you go to Bali in this article.

VISA

Visa On Arrival (VoA) is available for Indians and 139 other countries. Some 11 countries have the privilege to enter n stay in Bali for 30 days. For others, tourist visa costs 35 USD/person.

CURRENCY

This is one of the things to know before you go to Bali.

As I said that the value of Rupiah is low against Rupees. Here are some denominations to look at. They have a note for 1 Lakh as well, in red.

WHERE TO STAY IN BALI?

Southern Bali is the most happening part of the entire island. So if you want to relax at the beach, shop, and drink at some good bars, this is the place.

Kutta beach is calm, not as happening as the one mentioned above BUT it has a wonderful mall, right across the road, surrounded by the street market and restaurants/cafes.

Both the beaches are good for surfing. If you want to do diving then stay in the Southeastern area.

Before you think that I have googled this pic, I must tell you, I am the one who clicked it. 😀 All the black part is the area till where the lava has reached during the previous eruptions.

Apart from this beautiful view, you can also enjoy trekking on the volcano. The trek starts early morning around 4 am and the trek takes approx 2hours. Once you are on the top you can enjoy unparalleled beauty during sunrise. The entire trip from hotel pickup to hotel drop takes approx 11hrs and costs approx 60USD. You can find more information here.

When I am the writer, how is it possible to miss out on malls n markets..haha,,  So Ubud is a nice market, you will find some local clothing shops, restaurants, home accessories etc.. Out of everything, I found home decor products really attractive n cheap.  You will find a good Indian restaurant as well there, it is called Queen`s land of India.

If you are fond of tea/coffee then this is the place for you. While returning from the Mt. Agung, this farm is on the way back to South Bali.
